Ok so I was watching this documentary on Philip Roth, and he says something like, “After the first 10 years, the influences fall away, and by then, you’re pretty much yourself.” And I realized, holy f*** this is the 10 year anniversary of my first album. I’m so OLD! I mean, I’m so myself!
Anyway, regardless of whether I agree with Mr. Roth, I am super excited about the new songs I’m writing, and cannot wait to share them during my upcoming tour opening for Julia Holter. I know, right? I’m so lucky. Also, Kenny Gilmore, my friend and the producer of my new record, is joining me on the tour!
(Record drops on 9/3.)
Here are the dates- if anyone can think of good places to play on our drive home, lemme know. So far we just have Dollywood and Graceland on our list of things to do.
